We open our door and warmly invite you into our hostel. Through both the calm days of summer or the westerly gales of winter (or vice versa), Iona Hostel offers unique accommodation in a wild and beautiful landscape.
Iona Hostel is situated on our working croft, Lagandorain (The Hollow of the Otter). The croft extends to 60 acres and reaches from Dun I (the highest hill on Iona) to the lovely white sand beach of Traigh an t-Suidhe. The land has been worked for many generations, creating the familiar Hebridean patchwork of wildflower meadow, crops, and grazing land and home to an amazing variety of plants and birds.

Tranquillity, sanctuary and friendliness are what we offer. Tucked in amongst the rocky outcrops and flower meadows, Iona Hostel looks out to Staffa and the Treshnish Isles, and beyond Rhum to the distant Black Cuillins of Skye.
